Batumi International Container Terminal is a supporter of Batumi International Art-House Film Festival (BIAFF), which marks the tenth year of the festival this year. Since 2006, BIAFF had continued to grow and quickly becoming one of the major cultural events in all of Georgia.
On August 27, Port of Galati Delegation from Romania visited BICT. Mr. Dan Tivilichi – Prsident of the Board, Galati Port Administration, Ms. Gabriela David – Project Manager, Galati Port Administration, Mr. Dumitru Poalelingi – responsible for visibility of EU funding, Galati Port Administration, Mr. George Boga – Logistics Manager, Mr. Andrei Benghea-Malaies – Executive Director, EY, Mr. Paul Ilau - Senior Consultant, EY and Ms. Salome Kelenjeridze – Head of Marketing Georgian Railway were members of the delegation.
BICT has been awarded by Adjara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as one of the most successful business entity of the year 2014, during the ceremony of “Ajara Business Award” held in the Hotel Sheraton, today April 30, 2015.
BICT has signed a contract on ferry services with EURASIA RORO LINE to launch a regular ferry line service Burgas (Bulgaria) – Batumi (Georgia) – Novorossiysk (Russia).
From March 2015 new Ro-Ro/Passenger ship “DRUJBA”, sailing under Bulgarian (BG) flag, has started calling Batumi Port.
